Smoke came into our lives in May of 2016 with Noah’s first ride as a green 6 yr old..
When Noah’s life got busy…I decided I’d get on…My first ride back after many years
away, was in February of 2017. I never thought I’d be back in the saddle. I did ride and
show as a child up to age 23 and competed at the A circuit level.

I rode in a group lesson of teenagers that gently pushed me to do more each week.
With Amanda’s coaching and support, I showed in August of 2017 in the Novice 2’0
division, and in October of 2017 my parents helped facilitate his purchase. My life
changed that day for the better. He is loving, careful, smart, talented, gentle and
pushes me to do more.

Gradually we have become a team to watch out for. We have shown in the Trillium
Central East zone and attend several Championship Shows in Caledon and Ottawa, at
varying heights starting at 2’6 Adult Amateur to the 3’0 height.
In 2024 Smoke & I had our best year ever. I was Reserve Champion of the 2’9 division
and attended Champs in Ottawa. We placed in ALL of our classes in very strong
competition.

My goal for 2026 season is to sweep! Finish top of the THJA 2’3/2’6 Adult Amateur
division, Champion of the Central East Zone in the same division and to finish first
overall in the 2’3-2’6 Adult Amateur Medal division. So far after 2 shows we are well on
our way!

It’s been a wonderful 10 years with this wonderful horse in our family.
