Lesson Rates
Lesson Rates

The above rates (excluding drop in and single lesson rates) are based on a 12 month, four lesson per month package which is prepaid monthly and may be cancelled with 30 days’ notice. Prices per rider. HST included in all package prices. All packages must be paid on or before the first of the month to be eligible for the yearly rate. Otherwise single lesson rates apply. All individual lessons must be paid for prior to the lesson. Make up lessons must be taken within the same month of the missed lesson, only if 24 hour notice is given. Make up lessons are limited to one per month. There will be no make up for the make-up lesson. Management reserves the right to change prices without notice. Riders ages are a guideline only and certain exceptions may apply.
Lessons take place in a fun and safe atmosphere with groups matched in age and riding level. Instruction is available in English riding on our selected school horses and ponies, or on your own/leased horse (enquire at the RCRA Office for lesson/horse board packages).
Lessons are held in our three indoor arenas on winter and rainy days, and in our four spacious outdoor riding rings during the summer.
Riders in our lesson program also have an opportunity to be involved in the Academy’s many other activities. There are numerous National, Trillium, Primary, and Riding School level competitions on site, plus riding clinics with well known guest instructors. Students may also participate in scheduled practice rides, and the Christmas, March Break, Summer, and Adult day and residential camps. Please see our Camp Programs section on this website for more information.
Half hour or hour long group, semi-private and private riding lessons are available weekdays and evenings, plus Saturdays and Sundays. In addition to riding, students at RCRA receive instruction in proper horse care.
Equipment
Each rider needs an ASTM approved helmet, and boots with a heel. RCRA can provide a helmet to borrow for RCRA introductory lessons until a helmet is purchased, however, does not guarantee fit and function. RCRA recommends each rider buy their own helmet.
