Welcome to the Royal Canadian Riding Academy,
we are pleased to have many years of history at this great equestrian facility.
The RCRA started out as a modest facility with only one indoor arena. Now, we have over 250 stalls, 3 Olympic sized outdoor rings, full outdoor Dressage ring and a total of 3 indoor arenas for multi-discipline riding. The academy is located in what’s known as the “Golden Horseshoe” with easy access from the 404, just past Kennedy on Davis Drive.
Being a premier all-season facility in Canada, we have hosted several prestigious events over the years. In 1985, the facility hosted the North American Young Riders Championships (also known as the NAJYRC) in Dressage, Show Jumping and 3 Day Eventing. In 1986 the World Dressage Championships for the first time ever were held outside of Europe at our facility. During the same year, this facility also hosted the World Cup Jumper competition and Olympic Qualifiers.
We also host several Trillium Shows year round, Bronze and Gold Dressage Shows, CDl’s, in-house schooling shows, and the Eastern Canada Rodeo Finals. We thank all particpants for the strong presence that we achieve in the equestrian community. Our indoor arena can have as many spectators per seating.
The academy is a place for beginners to expert riders providing coaching for all ages and all levels. Apart from training we also hold educational clinics, seminars and workshops taught by certified professionals. We are both proud and honored to have riders who have become international legends. We wish for every competitor’s safe success and the fullfilment of their wishes and dreams.
